The Presentation Recommendations:
Please follow these guidelines to prepare your material to avoid later difficulties. If you are unclear of any detail below please contact a member of the organising committee.
Oral Presentations:
- The standard projection system used will be compatible for Microsoft "PowerPoint" using a windows platform. Apple Mac users will be catered for and it is strongly recommended to have all presentations converted for use on a windows operating system.
- Your unique Lecture ID, a two digit number will be forwarded to you from the General Secretariat and will also be available from the symposium web site
- Presentations must be handed in to the Local Secretariat PC/Audio visual adviser.
- All presentations will be pre-loaded on the conference hall PC and controlled by a technician. The speaker can control a presentation from a stand with laptop or a technician can change the slides as instructed.
- A lapel microphone will be available to allow freedom of movement.
Poster Presentations:
- Your unique poster ID, a two digit number will be forwarded to you from the
General Secretariat and will also be available from the symposium web site, so it should be inserted at the top right hand side of your poster in advance of display, poster labels will not be provided, your ID number must be displayed and be sized to 25 mm height, in a san serif [Arial] bold type font. - Poster sizes should be no larger than 80 cm ( 31.5 in.) x 100 cm (39.4 in.).
- It is recommend that posters be laminated to prevent damage and exhibition removable "Velcro hook & eyed" sticky tape be only used to secure them to melamine type panel board supports for easy removal. Pins or sticky tape are unsuitable and damage both support and poster.
- Small handouts or leaflets can be attached onto the area of the poster with a suitable provided leaflet holder, however a table area will be provided for scientists to layout promotional handouts and leaflets near the planned poster exhibition area.
How To Name Files:
- ALWAYS name the file/s you submit using only the following naming system
- All file attachments must be compressed if over 1 Mb
and must not exceed 3 Mb per file before sending,
for [.zip] use WINZIP or [.rar] use WINRAR to reduce file sizes.
- for Oral Presentations: LastnameFirstname_Ox[.]FileExtension[doc/zip/rar]
Example: SmithDavid_O1.doc - For Poster Presentations: LastnameFirstname_Px[.]FileExtension[doc/zip/rar]
Example: SmithDavid_P1.doc
